The grape seeds, stems, skins and pulp, leftover from winemaking are called the ‘marc’ and the ‘lees’. They play a vital part in giving you a spa experience unlike any you have ever experienced.
Scientific research has proven that the marc and lees are rich in phytophenols and resveratrol. Polyphenols are a type of flavonoid with potent antioxidant abilities that protect the body from free radicals being 50 times stronger than vitamin E and 20 times stronger than vitamin C, while resveratrol slows the aging process, spurs new cell growth and firms up skin. After nail and cuticle clean up, enjoy an invigorating and healing salt ‘scrub’ exfoliation to the knee, containing grape skins, seeds and lees from our local 40 Knots Winery. Next, an aromatic, warm Pinot Noir ‘lees’ Elixir is applied to your feet and legs that are then cocooned in warm booties to deeply soothe then purify and revitalize.
